sorry i am not a law person, but it wouldn't make sense - how would people park to deliver stuff if there were by laws against it?
This sort of thing is normally a covenant rather than a by-law.

And such covenants are notoriously difficult to enforce as they were between the original builder (who if a small firm may no longer exist) and the original purchaser.
Oh and they relate to (overnight) parking, not deliveries
I think you would only have a cause to complain if the vehicle was a HGV, your local council would likely have restrictions on overnight parking. Have you thought to contact the company direct? I know how frustrating it can be to have an eyesore restricting your view, good luck

Thanks everyone - this was a question relating to us parking a liveried van on the road outside our house overnight, but being upset at someone else doing do - but same thing ultimately I guess ..... but seems there are not any laws against .... unless anyone know different?
Have I got this right -- you park your liveried van outside your house at night -- so no prob. -- but you are upset that someone else does the same?????
You don't own the road and providing trhe vehicle is road taxed -- then hard luck.

No Brenda, yes have not got it quite right - we park a liveried van outside our house, yes, but I am not upset at anyone else doing it!! Just trying to establish if there is any law against what we do so that we don't upset anyone! But thanks for your interest - and I couldn't agree more Brenda - none of us own the road, so well said!

Brenda - now I see why you thought I was on my soap box - my initial response was incorrectly typed:

this was a question relating to us parking a liveried van on the road outside our house overnight, but being upset at someone else doing do ...........................

the BUT should have read NOT being upset at someone else doing it ....... apologies for confusion!
Thanks Echo-- I always put my misunderstadings of anything , and there are many , down to the gin.
