my trea cake tastes of raisins

I made a treacle cake a couple of days ago, and incase i didn't like it, i didn't put much treacle in. Anyway , ever sicne i first tasted it, i have been trying to put my figner on the flavour and suddenly, today it came to me. Raisins, it tastes of fruit cake but without the texture of the raisins and sultanas in it, jsut the flavour all over. Is this normal?
