I sold 2 separate items on ebay last week 1 left good feedback and received parcel day after it was posted, the 2nd item was posted at same time but i have just had email saying they have not received item and will leave bad feedback etc. the tone of the email was not nice and i do not know what i need to do now? we are only talking about £10 + roughly the same in postage (cant remember exactly without checking) and i have the post office receipt. wish i hadnt bothered selling things now! btw they paid by paypal.

they have said they will leave bad feedback but not asked for a refund ?
There's a resolution centre on the eBay site.
I have stopped using ebay. For the casual seller, there seems to be more fees than it's worth. Fee to ebay then another fee for paypal.

Now a lot of categories insist on free postage. Usless you start at a price to cover postage, you could end up losing out! Higher starting price, more fees (even if you do not sell).

a refund has not been mentioned as yet but i think when paying by paypal they can get their money back if not happy? They sound so aggressive i feel really uncomfortable but i have 100% positive feed back and i am 100% geniune they dont seem to have any patience and as i have not sold many things and never had a problem before its worrying me and i dont know what i need to do :-( I shall try and find the resolution centre - everything i have seen on there is aimed at bad sellers with help for buyers but no help for geniune sellers with what could be a bad buyer.

you're right TTG i really wish i hadnt bothered!
Busy - I have been buying and selling on Ebay for some years now and you will always get one buyer who will threatened all sorts, but if you email them and be polite, saying how sorry you are the parcel has not been received yet, but give it at least to the end of the week. Also that you have proof of posting which you will kindly send to them if they would like to claim against the Post Office.

People normally back down if you are polite and offer resolutions - if this fails then contact Ebay and get advice.
Chances are they will receive the parcel in the next few days.

well ive looked through the resolution centre and again it is geared up to help the buyer not the seller as far as i can see.

oh thank you for that den, i feel a bit better now!
Busy - This is Ebay's phone number: 0808 109 3229.
Always send your items by a method that provides proof that the parcel has been received, rather than just proof of posting.
If you can give PayPal a tracking number they will not be so quick to refund. If you can't give a tracking number then PayPal will usually refund the buyer immedicately.
Don't forget that you can claim compensation from the post office if your item goes missing in the post, up to £39 with standard first or second class post.
The recorded signed for costs and extra 75p.
