Kitchen fitter can't make it (AGAIN) today and I've got people coming for lunch tomorrow. He is doing the job on the side because he owes my cousin money but this has been going on for over 4 weeks now. So now about the money how much do you think he should be paid....

So far he has....

Sorted the plumbing for the dishwasher
Put in a new socket for ^^
Put together 1 belfast sink unit, a 1000mm cupboard and two corner units (the other cupboards will arrive at a later date because B&Q got the order wrong)
Work tops
Plaster boarded one wall
Half the tiling

He also left the work top with no edging and didn't come back for 4 days so water got in and the worktop started to warp around the sink. We have to buy more..!!

Also a friend invited me out today but I couldn't go because he was coming round...then he goes and cancels...rarara

Never Bobbi... :-(

I will be having words with my cousin tomorrow as he's one of lunch guests.

£500.....and the hours he's done so far wouldn't even be a working day.

He's under the thumb and his girlfriend doesn't know he's doing the job so he has to be home by 4.30. I don't think she knows he owes my cousin 2.5k either.
so were you paying your cousin the money?
no wonder the guy is in no rushto do the job.

You have my every sympathy though, its horrendous not having a kitchen. I hope you can at least use part of it though
He's a bit slow, ummmm......i'd have a word, like you say, with your cousin, and get him to kick him into gear a bit.....should, hopefully, have the desired effect.

Well that was the plan Red but his first 3 visits he asked for £50 which I gave to him. My cousin went mad when he found out but I didn't how much money was owed.

The kitchen is functional though....
tbh I would tell your cousin to get it sorted tomorrow.
I wouldnt put up with an unfinished kitchen for too long just to help someone else get money they are owed. Unless of course the guy is doing it so cheap for you that its worth all the hassle.
