I have had earache and nasal congestion following a headcold and nothing seems to clear it up.

My G.P. does not appear to be concerned and has continued to prescribe decongestant nasal sprays.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can clear this up once and for all?

Hi Charisse,i have had the same thing and found that the nasal spray made it worse.I have stopped using it and now use a few drops of Olbas oil in a bowl of boiling water and and inhale,it certainly has improved.Polly

Thank you for the advice Polly1958, the spray helps however it never completely 'lifts' the congestion. I do regularly go to a steam room and sauna which again helps for a short time.
charisse...have you posted about this problem of yours before?

It sounds as though you might have an unresolved sinus infection, in which case you need to consult an ENT surgeon.
Is that a chat up Sqad :-)
ummmm....LOL.....would it work in Market Harborough?

Good Morning sqad, I was having terrible trouble posting earlier so gave it up as a bad job!

Yes, I have had persistent problems with earache and congestion for some time. Must be the best part of 2 years now.

I shall ask that my G.P. refers me to a specialist.

In the mean time any advice welcomed.
