How is the "Riband" pronounced?

Is it "rib-and" as in "blue riband event" or is it "ree-band"

Always used to be 'ribband' where I came from, up north. Dunno about where I am now cos I don't buy them so I've never discussed them with anyone!

Rib-und is how I pronounced it (and still do, I suppose) Though like dmsjps, I haven't seen them for years.

(Incidentally, is that a reply from the dms or jps half? In other words, is that the SLF loving cider-swiller or the other one ? !!!! )

Certainly not "ree-band". Either "blue rib-und" or even "blue rib-un" - I can't remember if we could be bothered pronouncing the final "d".

Not a biscuit I have really missed - just a poor man's Kit-Kat if you ask me.

Riband, as in tie a yellow one, and like the picture on the wrapping indicated.
Hi brachiopod, it's the SLF loving cider swiller dms here. jps never comes on, he has no interest whatsoever in the net, even though I've shown him lots of fun things, like VINNY'S 'poke the worm' link for instance.
i say rib-and. but i don't really like them
