Yup, I can remember it, but I couldn't for the life of me remember the name of it! I did love it, but I didn't get one very often because when the ice cream man came round, dad either bought us a basic orange lolly or took a tub to the van and told him to fill it with vanilla ice cream so we could have it as a pudding after dinner/tea! Was that just a northern thing, or did everyone used to take a tub to the ice cream van for filling up? I know my dad wasn't the only one where we lived.
no, I used to go out with my bowl and ask for it to be filled, if Dad was feeling flush we got wafers or cornets and flakes as well. (London, in the 60's)
