ebay - automatic bids

If you click on a bid history of items on ebay to start with it say only actual bid . . . which means that non automatic bids are shown true or false?

On this page, is the top bid from bidder 2 an automatic bid or not?

and needed an example and that was the thing we were arguing over.

the automatic bids are not shown as they have not been placed, they are there as the buyer is telling ebay that it can bid up to x amount for the goods. so if buyer a gets outbid, ebay then can place an outbid, outbidding buyer b, this then becomes and actual bid and will be shown in the history

an auto bid is you telling the system it can bid upto x amount for sn item, it shows the bids as they are placed, so an auto bid will become an actual bid and show in the bid history as an acutal bid

Click 'show automatic bids' to show all bids.

The top bid from bidder two is an actual bid that went in at his full amount.

There are two automatic bids, both from bidder 4, for £250 and £370.

If you suspect shilling, it could be bidder 2.
