I still keep getting the message to re-tune my TV, although I carried out this task yesterday afternoon.

Is this normal or are they telling me that my re-tune yesterday was unsuccessful?

The reminder is still being shown even if you have retuned your freeview box. If you can get all the channels you will be fine.
It could well be that your re-tune was not successful, I was getting the message earlier today, after re-tuning yesterday. I did another re-tune today and have not seen the message since
im still getting it too, even after re-tune, however i have lost a few channels ... such as the music channels =( i have already retuned it twice!
since retuning ive lost some channels too, is this a permanent loss do we know, or in time if we keep doing the odd retune will they return?
Thousands of 'inferior' Freeview Boxes are unable to cope with the workload of extra Channels coming on Air as everyone does a Full Re-Scan, and they are 'Finished'. Every Freeview Box that you buy must carry the Freeview Logo, indicated by a large 'Tick' on the Packaging. BBC Watchdog Programme had a Section dealing with the problems people were having with Poor Quality (Cheap) Boxes)I experienced the problem this week with an elderly neighbour having an inferior Freeview Box which packed in altogether. I purchased a New Box for her, installed it and did a full Re-Scan and everything is now OK. The Box was a Technik and cost £30 in Morrisons.
Messages on TV Screens will keep appearing just as reminders to those who have forgotten to do Re-Scans.
I have freeview through BT vision & have lost channel 5 so much for progress
Hi, I think the message is still being shown for people who may have been on holiday or away when the retune happened. It will probably go in about a weeks time. Until it's time for next retune lol. At least with the old analogue it was just a case of plug aerial into TV and that was it.
well mines not a cheapy one and ive still lost channels.
mines one of the bigger boxes where you can record onto the hard drive whatsit.
im just hoping the channels will return in time as im a bit peed off at losing them.
How do you know if it has worked! Silly question but is there any new channell or any thing that will tell you it is all ok? My Sony had no menu options like it says on the Help site so I just did a normal retune.
auntieb try channel 38, this is QUEST which started with the retune.
can someone tell me why i should retune
thanks
Thanks Vulcan2 - I can get QUEST on both TVs so must have done it right!!!
