My son is thinking of working on Off-Shore Oil Rigs. He is a Chef by trade. Does anyone know the best way to apply for such a job?
Any advice would be very welcome.

Hi, doesn't look like my first answer went through, happening a lot lately. You could try typing Oil Rig Jobs into google and that will come up with a few sites to look at. You could also try survival courses for oil rigs as he will definately need a survival certificate to get on oil rig. He will probably need one before anyone will give him a job.

Thanks for that theshedman. I'm not getting notifications of any answers coming through either.
He'l need to do a 3 day survival course which I thnk is called a boseit course and he'l have to pass a medical which I think is called a ukooa medical - the survival course is about £600 and the medical is about £100.
