I am trying to fill out an application form that is in a Word format. However, I cannot add any "Xs" in any of the boxes on the form.

I have gone into Tools, but the document is unprotected, so I am not sure what the problem is.

Can anybody help me, so I can complete the application form?

Thanks.

Thank you all for your answers. I have tried what the three of you have suggested, but I still cannot get an X in the box. Just do not know what the problem is with this form.
Can you delete the box and put in a text box of your own
or are you meant to print the form off and fill it in and then pot it
or post it lol
