Very Basics Help with r4 and nintendo ds player

Hi all, I have bought my wife a R4 memory card for her DS player, then went to "www.ndsuniverse.com" and downloaded a game, (saved the game to a scandisk 1.0 GB micro sd card, (via an adapter) then plugged the sd into the R4 adaptor. placed said adptor into ds player and turned it on.
Problem, on the screen it says "could'nt find_DS_MENU.DAT"
UMMMMM Help please, (bear in mind would love this explained in VERY simple english) thanks in advance

There was NO NEED for that answer when you can legally download and PAY for your games. If thats all you have to say keep your comments to yourself!!!!
