Chivalry is alive and well, but like all living things, sometimes it is depressed and sits at home.

(I'am just testing my password on this and it still works.)
They guys at work always open doors for all the ladies (and me too!!!) and never let us carry or lift heavy things.

Our boss always stands up when we go in his office.

My hubby always opens the car door for me to get in the car but I suspect it's more to do with letting me know he is driving than chivalry. He always stands up when my nanny and her friends come into a room.
CC,I notice that men do hold doors open for good-looking girls, but when I come along I get them slammed in my face.
Ahh well I nearly always get doors held open for me but I guess it depends where you are.

A smile always helps, but don't necessarily think it's chivalry that is dead, loads of women too don't hold the door for you if you walk in somewhere after them or if you hold the door open for them don't bother to thank you. It's just rude.
Well my latest boyfriend carries my shopping and opens doors for me and generally treats me like a lady.

I had a dinner party on Saturday night and one of the gents is an ex army colonel. When my sister left to go to bed, he stood up, which I though was lovely.

Chivalry is not quite dead and long may it continue.
Well, I just thank God for automatic doors.
