I would like to clean a large framed print (unglazed) which is quite dirty and would welcome any suggestions on how to restore it.

Cleaning pictures is a specialised business with specific substances and techniques used to avoid damage.

I'd ask a dealer or restorer for advice before you jump in.
Before you ask a dealer it may just be worth a try to rub a small corner with bread and see if that works

Thanks, maxidragon, This idea I like. I do not think it is worth enough to spend a lot of money on, but a few pence for a slice of bread wont break the bank! I seem to remember an aunt used bread for cleaning marks off wallpaper.
