On the driveway (lane?) into my house there are steep grass slopes on each side - one steeper than the other. One side has a lot of mature trees (oak, beech etc) adjacent to the lane but not actually covering the grass area. The grass area is uneven and overgrown and I wish to plant some flowering plants (flowers?) on the lane sides to to take the bad look off it. This is where I need help - can anyone recommend what I should plant? I want to have flowers throughout the summer months (all year would be a bonus!) to brighten up the lane. It is about 30 yards long. Thanks in advance for any help or ideas.

plant some 'Hanging Labias' the girls in chatterbank say they are great.
Splutter at noknow!! I thought you were going to suggest a gnome, as you did last time! Mwhahahaha!!!!!

Sorry about that doirecormac. Your driveway sounds similar to ours, and although it's flatter than yours, we also have mature trees along the way.
We've now got rhodedendron bushes in between, which'll flower in a multitude of colours. Would this suit you, as they look beautiful when in bloom. x
