Did a team beat The Eggheads recently??? Have been away, and the last I heard the teams were playing for �58.000 !!! When I watched last night they were back to �17.000. !!!??? I do realize they are all repeats, but am a bit confused.

I've no idea, last time I watched it they were up to the 58K mark, was it at 17K last night? I get confused as sometimes Barry is on the opening credits, sometimes he's not. So I don't know whether I'm watching a repeat, or they've dropped him from the line up or what.

Hi Mully...Yeah, know what you mean. I have a feeling they are all repeats, Jeremy Vine was on it for a bit, and then bingo, he disappeared. Even so , surely they would n't just cut the 58K out, and jump to a 17K...(might have been 15K, not sure, was so cross that it wasn't continuing) Perhaps the BBC stopped it when it got so high...they don't like paying out !!!

i answered this somewhere else i'm sure of it....

anyway it was a repeat of shows in 2007 and it eventually goes upto �75k when a bunch of students take it off them

for some reason they are showing other episodes at the mo, but according to an other aber who checked their website they start showing this again on 10/08/09

i don�t get to watch it much as its on quite early in the evening, but when i do i always think it�s a bit of a sham. the challengers get asked to recite all 180 lines from the laudatio turiae, whilst the eggheads shake and nod heads in sequence, then the eggheads get asked to name all the vowels in the correct alphabetical order, then look smug to camera 3.
