nothing earth shattering I am afraid. Stay as cool as possible, Wear and use natural fibre clothing and bed linen. Try giving up or greatly reducing spicy foods, alcohol and sugar. Some people (not me sadly) have found that sage tea, red clover or black cohosh have helped.
I find being absolutely up front about it helps rather than trying to hide it. Certainly i find that stress and being in a hurry make it worse although its not always easy to avoid these.
I am afraid that mainly i just use a mantra "This, too shall pass"
Your wife has my sympathy. I have had them for about 10 years now. They were worst at the beginning when they were accompanied by dizzy spells
Macheke, You dont mention anything about your respective ages. chronic recurring hot flushes are often linked to the menopause in women of that age group, and can be ameliorated with appropriate Hormone Replacement Therapy. Has your wife discussed her flushes with her GP?
I assumed menopausal reaons. I tried HRT (3 kinds) not only did my symptoms not abate I got the full teenage moodies back as well...to the point where I threw things at beloved DH.
I know it works for quite a lot of ladies but not all....
