I am in agreement chas about the worry for our grandchildren, but that's on all fronts, what boundries are set in place for them?
I don't have a problem with multi-cultureism as long as thes people at least try to intregate into a British society by a) learning the language b) willing to contribute as we have had to, it's the free gratis brigade who need to be sent packing and as far as I am concerned, asylum means going to the first country of safey if your life is under threat in the country of your birth, it has to be the benefit system that attracts these people otherwise why do they bypass places like Italy, Spain, Portugal and France to get here?

if Birmingham has indeed mysteriously become 100% non-white since the last census - which I somewhat doubt - what does that suggest? That immigrants come to an all-white city ready to integrate, and the whites run away, by the looks of it. After all, the whites haven't vanished because they've all been eaten by cannibalistic foreigners. They've fled because they aren't prepared to integrate with anyone.
Perhaps they've all gone to Spain, where they can eat proper fish and chips and read the expat edition of the Mail.

jno...why should the host counttry intergrate to the extent that they no longer recognize the "land of their fathers" The prominant religion and culture being alien to them and almost certainly muslim.
It doesn't work the way that you describe....all the whites replaced by non whites ....it is far more insidious than that, involvong, area, pockets and then districts of non whites.
Sure, intergrate, but on the terms of the host country, not in terms of the immigrants.

jno I think you will find a lot of people who have "fled to Spain" do it for the weather primarily and the high crime rate, I think a lot of the ethnic cultures do not want to integrate in this country, I live not far from a large Jewish community, these people are Orthodox and the last people they would want to "mix" with is us, the Gentiles, these are people who have been born here, that said, they don't take from the benefit system, their schools are funded by themselves, they aren't workshy, but they do not integrate into our society.

When new people enter the country, they settle with or near family and friends. The areas that they settle on tend to be the very cheapest.
Traditional areas such as the East End of London have become overwhelmingly Asian because the white population start moving out.
This isn't just because of the influx of immigrants, but because they want to move out to the suburbs of Essex.
I suspect this is what happened in the part of Birmingham that the other poster referred to.
I grew up in a really racially mixed and very harmonious part of London. Personally, I would rather live in an area like that without people who worry when they see a schoolful of black and Asian kids.

White people may well move away to "better themselves" for the want of a better phrase, but another reason is that they themselves tend to be the minority with all the disadvantages that goe with it. Even the successful blacks want to move out of the immigrant community, to again "better themselves".
Australia seems to have the answer to peaceful inter-racial communities, by regulating the influx of foreigners, but it is too late for the UK as immigration is not only uncontrolled, but ina state od statistical chaos. i.e we don't know how many, who they are or where they are.......a recipe for social disaster.

Maybe our MPs just don't get it. How many non whites are sitting MPs. ********* from the outside world, lapping up every expense going, working for about half the year, why should they bother how their constituents feel?
When the majority of black British citizens outnumber the anglo saxons change will be too late. Leicester has already achieved this distinction and is represented accordingly by an Asian. Historians should study how Fiji was overrun by Indian immigrants and they assumed control. This led to a backlash and a coup to get their country back. Don't let it happen here!
