X reg VW Polo 1.4 petrol. I want to change the temp. sensor fitted into side of radiator. Haynes manual tells me to get under car and undo bottom hose to drain rad below required level. Problem is the old para is not very mobile now so can I simply gently unscrew sensor without getting under, allow coolant to drain down, fit new sensor then top up with fresh coolant ?
