does anyone know where i could buy cogs to repair vivaro gearbox ,main agents are asking far to much. any help appreciated.

vivaros are renowned for gearbox problems, as there are many options its a bit risky using a breakers, have you looked at a recon specialist ? again not cheap but cheaper than a main dealer

breakers and recon units very expensive i have a mechanic friend who says he will have a go at fixing it if new cogs could be located .the gearbox is stripped and cogs are sheared.

thanks pdoo.. i bought the van from the auctions and dont know its history....the van has been a nightmare have spent �500 on engine and now the gearbox gives up problems ! the mechanic friend does surprise me what he can manage to do - but does nt have any training with gearboxs so it might be a costly mistake letting him loose on the gearbox .where are you based pdoo ?
