I have recently been signed off by my Doctor from a 25k pa job and have no idea if or when I will be able to return to work.
Can anyone tell me what benefits I am entitled to (if any) while in receipt of SSP and what I would be entitled to in the way of Income Support and Tax Credits if I don't return to work? I am trying to weigh-up my options...
Thanks in advance...

That's really helpful. Thanks. Looks like I would get somewhere around 130 per week plus my rent and council tax. Not brilliant but probably just about enough to live on as I wouldn't have childcare costs, the kids would get free school meals and my petrol bill would be drastically reduced, I'd also get free prescriptions which would save me a small fortune!!
