It begs the question; why do English people want a Spanish side to beat their own?
Booldawg........not only English people.

Real Madrid supporters were supporting Man Utd.

sorry sqad are you saying you don't belive my answer? Or do you mean that the gesture is in someway unwarrented? You don't seem to be much of a sport enthusiast.
R1Geeve...yes, I do believe your answer and yes I am a sports enthusiast.

No Geezer..the "crap" comment was for lauding and applauding the intent.
isnt it wonderful at man united were in the final, isnt it wonderfull the the won the prem, leauge cup, world club cup and the charity shield,
Well I was quite pleased....
almusic.....yeah! yeah! but notice the heading of the question.......CHAMPIONES......the championship of all the European leagues and Man Utd were poor.
one poor game dont make a poor team - ok they lost - to a better team on the day - i'm fed up with comments from non-football fans on this thread - grow up and move on!!!!!
and don't forget without the dodgy ref in the Chelski/Barca game Barcelona would not have been in the final.
mark:

I've been a football fan for donkey's years, just for your information, therefore I think I have a reasonable knowledge of the game, having also played it and been a qualified referee for a number of years.

Now, although my first post referred to "men v boys", it was descriptive of what happened only in the final itself. To be honest, I was most disappointed that the game didn't live up to the pre match hype and expectations of I'm sure the majority of football fans.

Although I'm not a Man U fan, I was really disappointed at their inability to respond positively to Barcelona's first goal, and it never looked likely that they (Man U) would win. Actually, the fact that Barca only got one more goal was a bit of a mystery, such was their dominance.

There's an old football saying: "A team can only play as well as the opposition allows." That, for me, sums up the game. Man U, rather than having played badly, were simply not allowed to play well because Barcelona dominated in so many areas.
Mark..".non football fans?".......I have been a football fan for 50yrs but yes I haven't grown up but just read the post of paraffin again.
