Can a trellis be added to a 6ft fence? If so, how high can it go?

I believe the restriction on fence height is 7' so you would be able to add 1' or trellis.
It's 2 metres, actually, if this is a boundary fence, without the need to ask for planning consent. Unless you live in a Conservation Area or other special area (when you might need to ask for it anyway).
