Have just rung to say they can't de-sex my wee girl cat for free as the offer ends on Monday & they have to move onto the next district. Mary is only 5 months.

I'm on Invalids Benefit at the moment as I just had an ankle replacement.

Bummer I've missed out. But this new initiative is going to be repeated every year.

Hello there,
Cats Protection (the UK's Largest Cat Charity) offer vouchers for Neutering (up to 26) for those on qualifying benefits.
Have a look at this link:~
http://www.cats.org.uk/workwedo/neutering_fina ncial.asp

If you ring the 0845 number they can answer all your questions.Unlike the SPCA their neutering doesn't go by district. You get a voucher which you give to the vet, althought if it costs more than 26 you may have to pay the extra yourself.
Do give them a ring they are most helpful and friendly people.

Thanks, Mr Veritas.

But I'm in New Zealand.

The SPCA here, though, have said they will spay Mary for a discount. So that's good.
Nice of you to answer Mr Veritas but MWB is in New Zealand.

btw MWB...lovely name for your cat.. very sweet...best be careful or you're gonna have to look for homes for little Mary's
ps ...if you are on benefits or earn under a certain amount, will some of the rescue places or animal sanctuaries not spay your cat for less???
My Apologies,I didn't know.
I thought you meant RSPCA and had missed off the R! LOL
