I have read in an AA Travel Book on Crete, that if you have a Northern Cyprus stamp in your passport, this could cause problems and possibly refuse entry to Greece.
As we are going to Crete in May, this would be a problem.I have checked the British Embassy website, and also telephoned, they advised me to tetephone the Greek Embassy, which I did.The only repsonse was " I don,t think you will have any problems", but there is nothing in writing.Could you please help.

I've never had any problems with this. I come from Northern Cyprus so I go there a lot. I have also been to Crete many times and my ppt has been full of NC stamps.
Ive done this and I've not had a problem
Me too deja, we have friends living in Cyprus who we visit often, they live in Paphos and have recently emailed me to tell me you can now just walk through to Turkish Cyprus from Nicosia and other points, I haven't had my passport stampted and I have visited many Greek islands before and since, there reallyisn't anything to worry about infact a lot of the Greek Cypriots go over to do shopping.
I've done it and there wasn't a problem. Enjoy your holiday
From my time there, I recall the fuss arising when between Greeks and Turks - as ever. I think there was a bit of a thing with militants on both sides kicking up a fuss at checkpoints, and guards pushing people about - again, both sides at each other.
Your information is out of date. The Greeks and Turks co-operate a lot with each other in areas of tourism.
