Is this the new 'Civil Defence' or the new 'Dad's Army' perhaps?

Part of the new strategy would address the longer-term causes of terrorism by "understanding what leads people to become radicalised, so we can stop the process".

Could anyone help him out here, what leads people to become radicalised, and how does he hope to stop the process?

Brown said that more than two-thirds of the plots threatening the UK are linked to Pakistan.

If this is correct what are his plans for Pakistan?

Give them yet MORE of our money probably.
If Britain is really under threat from Al Qaeda, then its the fault of Brown and Blair, but that issue aside, its under threat also, from the internal policies of this goverment.
Would Britain still be under threat if we had the same Muslim population as in the 90's? Most of the threats are from within as we have witnessed. Our leaky borders are a constant threat.

So why don't politicians face up to the real problem? Different races and religions don't mix and laws to do so will never work.
