Rod Stewart
Song was written by Mike D'arbo especially for Chris Farlowe and was on his 1966 album the Art of Chris Farlowe and then released as a single in 1967, subsequently covered by both Rod Stewart and the Stereophonics

Anyone know which version is used on the Office?
The version on 'The Office' is an arrangement (written for the series) by George Webley (Big George as he is otherwise known).

You may know another of his works - the theme tune to 'Have I got news for you' - he also does work for BBC Three Counties Radio and BBC TV.

He's an out and out music lover (and hater of plastic pop) - have a look at his website if you are interested! http://www.biggeorge.co.uk/

Does "Big George" sing the vocals on the Office version?
It wasn't George, but can't remember who it was... I'll find out!
The vocalist is called Fin. He was in 80's rock band Wasted, and replaced Paul Young in the Q-Tips. According to Big George, it may be released next year.
