I have a court order dated 20 August 2000 in which my ex husband has to pay 250 per month in advance per child until they reach the age of 17 or cease full time secondary education whichever is the later or further order. No further order has been taken out but I have just received half the amount and my ex has told the eldest boy that now he is 18 (15 February) his payments to him cease and that I will be in for a shock this month. My eldest has told me and I am prepared but how can I go about enforcing the court order as the boy doesnt finish college until he finishes his A level exams which could mean the final exam is in June but study leave starts in May. Can I ask the court to enforce the order for a few more months at no extra cost to myself? I would be grateful for some input.

need some clarification--you state the order continues until they reach the "age of 17 or cease full time secondary education"--your elder son is doing "A" levels at "college"--that is different from "secondary education" which normally means school--were he to be at school doing his A levels it would be true the payments should continue--if he left secondary school and went to college then that may be classed as further education, not secondary--u need legal advice--sorry can't be more helpful--cheers
