Hey

Recently bought wolf face 17" alloys for my 2000 rover 25.

They fit fine..but i notice the studs now dont come all the way through the old nuts.

Just checked and one was coming slack!!!

Can this be fixed by like a stud extender..or smaller nuts?

any help much appreciated

I would seek advise from where you bought the Wheels. word of caution as you are aware, If one has come loose others may follow.
Alloy wheels are about 10 times thicker than your original steel wheels, there's no such thing as a stud extender, the studs will need replacing by longer ones.
LOL @ They fit fine..but i notice the studs now don't come all the way through the old nuts.

Two things....

Errrr, they don't fit fine then!

And unless I'm mistaken, you shouldn't be using the old nuts!!!

Ok points noted haha perhaps the fittign isnt "fine" as i put it... i bought them off a friend with an MGZR...to my knowledge the same wheels are interchangable between the two models..

Ah im going to halfords today to see if its merely nuts i need...didnt know i couldnt use the old ones from the steel wheels..

Ta for the help

Don't forget to tell your insurance otherwise it will invalidate your policy and they will soon find out if your wheels keep falling off.

Your right, the wheels are interchangeable between 25 and ZR models - but have you seen that the weels fit correctly on your friend's MG ZR? Always be very careful with aftermarket allors and don't assueme they will "fit fine" just because someone else says they will - so many variables (offset, pcd, center bore ect.). Is there is a reason they are selling them?...

it would appear than the reason is i was still using the old nuts from the steel wheels . i ordered generic rover 25 conical shaped ones from ebay and they now fit snuggly.
