Does anyone know anything about the sizing of American childrens clothes. Have been looking at them on ebay but don't know what the 'T' stands for. They are sized as 2T. 3T etc. Many thanks

Sewing patterns from the states with T sizes are usually for "tubby" children - the patterns are sized for wider bodies than average. Dunno if this applies to off the peg clothes but it probably does. You can always email the seller on ebay and ask for exact measurements before bidding.

Uh... I think it actually means Toddler,

how sad, T is not for "tubby". it is indeed for  'toddler' -

the toddler range starts after 24mos. So for a child 2 yrs and over you will effectively be shopping in the toddler range, and you may find (depending of course on the size of the child) that the sizes are consistent with their age.
