Cider Vinegar - acne

I have relitively bad acne, and at nearly 20 it's not so hot. I've just started using Apple Cider Vinegar on my face, and as a drink twice a day. 2nd day in, and i'm seeing a fantastic improvement! Redness disapearing, skin tone evening out, even my blackheads have just sort of, disapeared.
But what i'm wondering is, how long it will keep working for? I've heard that after some time it'll stop working, like my body will develop a resistance to it's effects. Is this the case? Also, why does this happen?

Thanks

I usually have pretty clear skin, but have been known to have the odd hormonal fluctuation. After trying many lotions, potions and natural remedies, the only thing that worked for me was taking the contraceptive pill (Dianette) which works by blocking the Androgens (male hormones) from entering the skin.
However, the manufacturers of Dianette have recently had their license stripped back due to it's links with DVT.
If you are a migraine sufferer, it's highly unlikely that your GP will prescribe this pill. However, just one 21 day course could be enough to eradicate your acne altogether. I had my last outbreak last September (aged 31) and one pack of the Dianette saw it off! No problems since, thankfully.
