Don't know the full details of this but i think Rihanna is a very brave young woman by coming forward and not hiding until the injuries had disappeared.

I hope everyone now treats Chris Brown like the piece of sh!t he obviously is.

Octavius, I think they use the word 'brave' as there are so many people who put up with abuse for years. They start small, a few bruises here and there, (Like the ones some of you are so ready to dismiss) then slowly the abuse increases. Then all too often, too ashamed and afraid to leave, these people are beaten to death.
Rihanna is a celebrity and so she has the power to get her story noticed and bring attention to this problem unlike most victims. She should be praised, not questioned and mocked by people who don't think the beating was severe enough!
I'm not saying it wasn't severe enough. I just don't see why this gets special attention when there are plenty of "ordinary" victims out there who suffer a lot worse.

The words "mountain" and "molehill" spring to mind with this.

Brave, Octavius because she is in the public eye.
her advisors (whom ever they be) will have told her there could be a backlash from Chris Brown fans and idiots.
Bottom line irrespective of whether she was stupid enough to go back to him.

If you beat a woman and leave her bruised and leave bite marks on her arms.
Then you're sick and need sorting out.

Anyone who disagrees with me on this is entitled to their opinion.
Just dont waste your time telling me about it as i know where i stand and its not in favour of that sort of abuse.

Im away anyways.
Seems its a day where you can mock folk dying of cancer and also mock a woman for being violently physically abused.

Well not my idea of fun.

Enjoy yourselves.

4get how many beaten wives go running back to hubby when he as sobered up and is sorry?

i bet we have a good few on here in that situation now or have been in the situatin in the past .

Octavius your link was worthless and meant nothing on this thread.
If that is your opinion, then that is fine by me.
Question Author
not being a celebrity myself ( well only on here does that count?) I can only tell you what i have seen in local pubs and clubs.
the amount of women who walked into doors and fell downstairs was horrendous , they really should be more careful. these women who dared ventured out with the bruises from stumbling , falling down and walking into objects were to subject of Chinese whisper games and they knew it.

would anyone relish that?
I am digusted at Chris Brown's actions.

My sons idolised him and his music and just what kind of message is this sending out???......

that it is ok to beat your girlfriend up!!!
Domestic violence is abhorrent whoever is involved.

According to the reports, she has not come forward:

"Rihanna, who turns 21 today, has not been seen in public since the alleged attack and is believed to be staying with her family in Barbados."

And who can blame her for hiding?
Chris Brown did that...? Whoa, just goes to show that anyone can do it... I didn't get to watch the Brits but did she get an award or something?
Question Author
no she didn't SaS
