I have two laptops using the same broadband connectiion but not at the same time I might add. One machine will connect without problem, the other machine which is fitted with a wireless on/off switch can only connect via an ethernet cable. With the switch in the on position I get the message "cannot find the address" when I try a wireless connect, and going thro the problem solving procedure I get the message "wireless switched off". I wondered if I had a faulty wireless switch or a wireless settings problem Any help appreciated. Thanks.

you don't say which windows
I assume you have the obtain address automatically ticked for the on-off lappy
Also assume you've run the wireles wizard

a good way to prove the wifi is to install netstumbler

http://www.netstumbler.com/downloads/
