i am having some problems with my cars sound system recently. i have a kenwood head unit, and an amp. basically what happens is i turn on the ignition and the amp will power up, the music will play for about 10 seconds (sometims less) and the just cut out. i have had the head unit checked and tried a different amp but i am still having the problem. i take it its the wireing but what in particular. has anybody got any ideas please? thanks everbody

Hard to say really, but it sounds like the power may be wired up to the same circuit as the internal light (or some other circuit that switches off after a period of time). Either that, or it's overloading/overheating and has a self resetting circuit breaker built into it.
