Why is England becoming extinct?

To be Scottish, Irish or Welsh that's fine
But don't say you're English, that's way out of line.
The French and the Germans may call themselves such
So may Norwegians, the Swedes and the Dutch
You can say you are Russian or maybe a Dane
But don't say you're English ever again.
At Broadcasting House the word is taboo
In Brussels it's scrapped, in Parliament too
Even schools are affected, staff do as they're told
They must not teach children about England of old.
Writers like Shakespeare, Milton and Shaw
The pupils don't learn about them anymore
How about Agincourt, Hastings , Arnhem or Mons ?
When England lost hosts of her very brave sons.
We are not Europeans, how can we be?
Europe is miles away over the sea
We're the English from England, let's all be proud
Stand up and be counted - Shout it out loud !
Let's tell our Government and Brussels too

Fly the flag of Saint George or the Union Jack
Let the world know - WE WANT OUR ENGLAND BACK !!!!

Kids are taught to critically evaluate evidence and to do things like question the reliability of sources
It all depends on how old they are, and how advanced the history being taught.
Surely it is better for a child to be taught the general facts of history, than to be taught the 'slant of the day'.
These details can be analysed and discussed in depth at a later stage in their development.

Can't say as I've noticed that being English, as distinct from Welsh or Scots, has died out in rugby and soccer internationals !
The complaint appears to be a confused one about being British, not English (in spite of the third line).

As far as the EU is concerned, all the member states' citizens could make the same complaint.The Italians . Germans and French are subject to the same EU laws as we are.

Dig down and the affection does not seem to be for this countries people - they mostly seem to think they are scum
A countries Political institutions - nope they don't love those either - we get PC gone mad and rants about the Government.
No it mostly seems to be an attachment to landscape and a particular version of history that they were taught at school.
That isn't patriotism
A patriot knows that a country is the sum of it's people and wants to see them all prosper equally.
A patriot does not tolerate a Thatcherite - "I'm all right Jack", "Devil take the hindmost" attitude.
A patriot does not love Britain
A patriot loves the British

It is obvious that some on this site do not like those who are not afraid to show patriotism for this once great ENGLAND.
But eh! who cares I have read the comments and it is for this reason that I try to hold on to my love for this country, while all around me will not be satisfied until the ENGLAND we once knew has disappeared.
For all those that think we now live in a better ENGLAND, please note.
This is the country that has been taken over by the likes of some of the posters on this site.

A country that has seen an increase in crime, drugs, drunkeness, and general disorderness.
A country that encourages people not to work and then claim from the state.
A country that has always opened it's arms to the world, but how do they repay us, by terrorism, crime and drugs and they will not be satisfied until they have turned this country into a mirror image of the countries they left behind.

HERE HERE !!!!!!! i think its time to see what normal english people think of how over the years england has had chunks bitten off its identity ! but SHHHHHHH its not pc to speak or comment on how english people feel about something they feel passionate about now is it ?? it makes me sick what a hypocritical world we live in ! my grandad and his father before him will be turning in their graves to see how this country has been abused by governments and do gooders !
