Does anyone else share my observation as follows?:

Phil Mitchell returns to the square, on the run from the police. A confirmed alcoholic, he shares a cheeky vodka with Billy, whilst of course needing a clear head to avoid police detection. Swift entry into the Beale household follows, and despite punching Ian outright, Ian gets up and is ok, and then tortured into cooperation by having his head....flushed. Phil crashes through the Fowler's kitchen door, coffin-dodger Pauline manages not to have a heart attack, and then runs through the square to the Arches chasing Ian's non-existent cash. Although chasing an armed robber, the Met's finest decided a firearms unit isn't needed, and corner Phil, who in a scene reminiscent of the Bourne Identity, takes out several officers, before being arrested....at the Holy Grail of the Mitchells - the Vic, where less than two months previously a grisly murder of Phil's downfall character took place. Come Thursday, Pauline seems completely non-plussed by the whole thing.

Yeah, brilliant isn't it. My personal favourite bit of craziness is when Kat Slater goes off for a couple of weeks because she loves Alfie so much she wants to allow him some time and space to decide whether he wants to be with her. When she comes back all of 3 weeks later, not only has she bizarrely turned into an alcoholic, but she's decided he's a boring berk who she can't stand to be around any more.
..but we keep watching it don't we Andy, so who's more crazy, us or them?
Wow and I missed it this week - sounds pretty normal to me!!

I totally agree Andy008, nobody mentioned what had happened the night before!

Also, I thought that episode was quite scary and violent, as was the episode when Den was murdered.  All of these soaps are trying to shock people and use violence to bring in viewers.

I can't beleive people still watch this S*&t!
I'm not a watcher of Eastenders but I was in the room when this scene was played out and whilst I agree with your comments I find it incredibly hard to believe that with the constant amount of crime, murders, trauma that plague the square not ONE house hold actually had their doors locked preventing the likes of Phil Mitchell to barge into their homes! Did Tony Martin teach us nothing???
Love your comments about Pauline!  Thanks for making me laugh this morning Andy!
why does no-one in Eastenders wear glasses? Is there something in the ater down that way that maintains perfect 20/20 vision, even when you're 150 years old, like Dot and Jim? Maybe it's the same thing that gives them all such terrible memories - you killed Jamie, but sure, I'll marry you etc etc etc.
