I'm about to put in some raised borders in my garden, running along both side fences and the back fence.

My garden has quite a bit of drop to it, about 4 inches - doesnt sound much but over a garden 13ft long this is quite noticable.

Do I run with the drop of the garden or keep it totally level all the way round ?(the latter will mean I'll have to sink it into the grass at the top half of the garden)

What about using a terracing system? Go flat with a bed for a few feet, then go down a couple of inches and build another flat bed. They can be separated with bricks or wood to hold back the soil. Good luck.
