hi, this is going to sound a bit strange, but im having problems with the gums at the back of my bottom teeth, never had this before but it seems like the gum is actually growing over the top of my two back teeth on either side, not much but enough to cause absolute agony when drinking or eating. i have a wisdom tooth comin through but that is at the top right side. i have no idea what is causin this but am really very worried about it. i cant go to dentists yet because ive also got tonsilitis and mouth ulcers. please can anyone help????

Ouch painful - I think this is what is referred to as a gumflap - usually happened when wisdon teeth are coming through -I suffered with them for years untill they took my widoms out in hospital as they were not coming through.  See a dentist when you can.  Good luck!
My bottom wisdom teeth are half through now and cause me some discomfort from time to time, for a whole week one side was rubbing really badly on the inside of my cheek and i had a horrendous lump but then passed as the tooth came up more. My top ones i had when i was 12 which is crazy but i dont remember them giving me any trouble though people i have spoken to about them say the bottoms ones are always more trouble. I would make an appointment to see your dentist ASAP if they are causing you pain hun....

Definitely go and see a dentist.

Had the same problem and in the end they ended up getting infected (pain is inbelieveably bad).

Happened over and over (including right in the middle of my final law exams) until they were all taken out.

Can be quite a long waiting list to have themm taken out so the sooner you go the better if that may be needed.

thanx for your postings, i was gettin a bit concerned about it. it did seem strange that my bottom gums started creating problems when my top wisdom tooth started coming through so it makes sense for it all to be connected.
