I am thinking of following the Atkins principles for a couple of weeks .... can anyone give me the loa down or pass on any links which will tell me what to eat and what not to eat....... in a kind of idiot guide way please!!

Atkins have their own website but I find this is better for me

Have you done it before? This time I found it better to eat more veg and salad to stave off hunger and the dreaded constipation
You really need to read the book. Atkins has 3 stages. The website doesn't really help much as they want you to buy the book. I could only find the number of net carbs for each food in the book. It does work if you follow it though.

The charity shops often have copies of the Atkins book. It's quite thick and has an orange and dark blue cover. There's a lot of repetition in it but you do need it. You can't half do Atkins as you could well put weight on! I lost 5.5 stones in 6 months and it was easy. Atkins also sell products which help. For example, they make breakfast bars which mean you don't have to cook in the morning. Lowcarbmegastore are the best source. Keep a bar in your bag in case you get the munchies. Also excellent for diabetics.
