The URL is simply the 'web address' of the video. It's what appears in your browser's address bar when you're watching the video. To save you having to type it all out, do the following:

If you're actually viewing the video, right-click in the address bar and click 'Copy'. Then right-click, in the space for the URL, in the downloader. Select 'Paste'.

If you're nor actually watching the video, but looking at a link to it, right-click on the link. Select 'Copy shortcut' (or, in Firefox, 'Copy Link Location'). Then right-click in the space for the URL, in the downloader, and select 'Paste'.

Play the relevant vid in youtube.

On the right hand side you will see a grey box with the URL and embed html.
Underneath that is More From:

The URL is in the URL box above 'embed'
Hmm. Ethel has probably provided the correct answer but, without knowing exactly what your downloader requires, I can't be sure. The web-based service I use requires the URL of the whole page (which is what I've referred to in my post above). However, as Ethel suggests, it's possible that your downloader requires the URL of the actually video file which makes up the 'video' part of the Youtube webpage (which is what Ethel has referred to).

Don't worry too much about it. Just use whichever one actually works for you!
