Does anyone know about Italian Law?

I am now in my late 20's and I was born out of wed-lock. my mother (italian) has since divorce and is now with my biological father (italian) however he is not on my birth certificate as my father (her ex-husband is). I change my surname by Deed Poll, to my fathers surname, but this is not recognised in italy. Does anyone know, if he was to adopt me, would my birth certificate be changed?? If so, would the adoption be valid in Italy and would the paperwork reflect this. Also, would any children i register in italy have my new surname on their paperwork? Please can someone point me in the right direction x

A short answer.
If this was in the UK,then you would be too old to be adopted (I think it is under 18).

It looks as if you CAN be adopted as an Adult (you just have to consent to being adopted).
But being Italy the document on the site is fearfully long winded and complex.

I am not sure though WHY you want to be adopted by your biological Father?
It certainly wouldn't be possible under UK law,and if you WERE adopted under Italian law there is the distinct possibility that UK would not recognise adoption of an Adult.
It does seem a lot of fuss to go to to not very much end?
