I have it. I haven't used it a lot but I pay around 5 - 6 per month. A lot of the programmes are free and as far as I can tell you pay for what you use.
hi

there are free channels and programs and there are chargeable ones

My daughter has had it for months and only watched 2 chargeable films so far @ 3 each

Shes sat thro entire seasons of loads of shows

enjoy
Surely you should fully understand what you are getting for your money before you accept the terms and conditions of the contract.

A lot of info here:

I've just read that link but still don't understand what you actually get. I'm thinking that you basically get freeview with the option to download (and pay for!) extra programmes. Is that right?

I'm thinking of getting Sky but if this will be cheaper...

I've just read further and can see that there is Bronze, Silver and Gold packages at 13.70, 17.61 and 19.57 per month - where does the 6.85 per month come into it?

Can anyone find a list of channels/services that you get with these packages 'cos I sure as hell can't find one.
"The BT Vision V-box also gives you access to all the Freeview channels available in your area through your TV aerial."

So put your postcode in the Freeview site, and you should see a list of available channels:
http://www.freeview.co.uk/availability

So, for 6.85 per month you get a hard drive recorder and freeview channels. The alternative is to buy a cheap freeview pvr, with no subscription.

But you do get the option to pay for extras on a pay as you go or monthly basis
What a blerdy confusing site.

You can buy the box and pay nothing a month, for 29.36 plust 29.36 connection.

Or pay 6.85 per month for the first three months then 13.70 and get the box free

Read to the bottom of that page.

It is confusing, the girl on the phone explained it all and I thought I understood it but when I checked the website to see if I could get a certain channel it suddenly seamed really confusing. I'll just have to wait and see
I think I'll stick with Sky, at least I understand what I'll be getting!
My friend got it and he says it's the worst thing he has ever done.!!!!
