After watching 'Anchorman - The Ron Burgandy Story' I was wondering who sang the original verson of 'Afternoon Delight' anyone know?

It was the "Starland Vocal Band"

Blimey! I was only a sprog when that came out and it's only now, reading the lyrics that FastBarry posted, that I realise how raunchy it was! There was little old me thinking it was a charming ditty about sky rockets. Well well, live and learn.
Great record, I still have my copy of the single :-)
It was the Starland Vocal Band reached No 18 in 1976
