I'm definitely not good with computers and don't really understand all the technical jargon so bear with me please. I've received an email with two attachments from a trusted source. The first one I opened with no problem (Adobe) however the second gave me a message saying 'This file does not have a programme associated with it for performing this action.' Create an association in the folders option. Now I took this to mean Adobe wasn't able to open this. So, went into folders options and am given 4 tabs to choose from. General ,view, file types and offline files. Can't work out what I'm to do - please can someone explain (treat me like the idiot I am and assume I know absolutely nothing. Many thanks

i think whatever the attachment is it seems it may be corrupt--contact the sender and find out what it is/is supposed to be and if it is a straightforward file then get it re-sent--cheers--

to everyone who helped me on this question - many, many thanks -have contacted the sender and she was unable to open it either so I think we'll put it down to 'just one of those things' and forget about it. (its annoying though)
:)

oh well, at least its not bugging you any more lol

it's just that I hate not being able to sort things - having said that, with all the advice I've received there is obviously some sort of problem so would be awful to open it and have my computer blow up or fall ill so yeas, not bugging me too much. Thanks
