In this weeks Radio Times there is the offer of a "Free" Comedy DVD.
Well it ain't free (in my opinion).
Why not?
Well the following are required::~
Envelope 5"X5" say 30p.
Stamps costing 52p(to return post the DVD)
Stamps to send the envelope etc 28p(?) 2nd class.
Giving a toal of 1.10.
As I say hardly "Free".
Any views?
And yes I am being mean,at 85 every penny counts.

Its the same with most "free" offers in the newspapers etc, always require a stamped addressed envelope which usually amounts to 1 or more or else you have to pay postage and packing! So the offers are not really "free". They should advertise the offers for the cost of pp!
It is legal to charge postage for otherwise free goods.

You can cut costs by recycling your old envelopes and sticking a plain sticker over the existing address and stamps.
