This guy seems to like me, so should I pursue this?

I work at a convenience store, and according to a coworker, a certain customer seems to like me. I know that he's single and he's good-looking, and he seems to be nice. However, I really wonder if I should pursue this. You see, I'm a vegan animal rights supporter and I'm politically very liberal. I know that he fishes and probably hunts, and he's probably quite conservative in his views. (He's a sniper trainer in the Army, believe it or not!) Not only that, but I'm rather reserved and introverted and I like hanging out in bookstores and watching independent and foreign films, whereas he seems to be the sort who likes to go to parties and I know that he likes to play Guitar Hero. We seem to be so different from one another, so I wonder if I tried dating him if I would be entering into something that would go nowhere. What do you think?

I think if your friend is right and he likes you wait for him to make a move
but dont expect to change him
you are looking way too much into it at minute, worry about getting the date first :-) And then alot of the time if you really like someone you overlook the little things. xx
If you believe that strongly in your cause, I really don't see how you can even contemplate a relationship with this guy, to be honest! Wouldn't you feel disgusted thinking of what he does??
4Get...It doesn't sound like "little things" to me! It's not like he forgets to put the toilet seat down, the guy actually kills animals for fun....and noquarter7 says she's a "vegan animal rights supporter".
exactly max but it may be when she starts seeing him, but from the post it doesnt seem like it will be something she will be able to put to back of mind max, but she really needs to see if she has a date with him first. I could one day go out with jared Leto but I dont know whether his acting or music will get in the way :-)
i think you have made ALOT of assumptions about a guy you dont know, if he likes you im sore he will make a move and then you can see if you are compatable,

why not strick up a conversation with him, next time you see him? see if you cant get things started, dont assume you are 2 completly different peole, even people with different beliefs can have long and loving relationships

good luck xx
I agree that a lot of assumptions have been made, but from what she does know, I think it's fair to say it doesn't look good!

Even if it's only assumptions and not true, I find it hard to understand how she could even think of going out with him, or even find him attractive! Such beliefs really don't leave much room for tolerance, usually.
Similarly, I couldn't find anyone attractive/contemplate a relationship with them if they were BNP supporters, regardless of physical appeal or general "niceness" in conversation.
