Yes, I know, very early indeed, but given that the Herculis may have been on line since midnight, this means our contest has now closed and if there are any night owls around who would like to post the matches, I can get busy right away - if not, I'll come back at a more civilised hour.

Just a couple of things before I head off - where is sarumite hiding ??? don't tell me he's been banished to the dungeons again !!! or is he off somewhere incommunicado ????? updates, please !!

And while we've temporarily [ hope] lost one, we welcome tearinghair to the group this week and hope that you enjoy the experience - do hope the alias isn't too accurate !!

Thanks for your kind welcome. I am certainly living up to the alias this morning - thought I was on to a dead cert with 'snow plough'! Will try to improve on my less than distinguished start next week.

A very sedate, positively laid-back start to proceedings this weekend and inspite of the matches being reasonably easy [!] the points were pretty much spread all over the place.

Aquagility had a very successful start to the morning, picking up bonus points for both Optic Nerve and Moleskin for a total of 4 points.

Next was deecee131 who picked up two bonus points for Snow Drop plus 2 extra 'good guess' points also for a total of 4 points.

And then evsajo gathered up the last bonus points with Doggy Paddle, plus an extra for 3 points.

The 'good guess' department was rater quiet too, with Magyar collecting 3 points, while roslyn251254
gen2, Grenmus, grannydi, Judith bridgenut, Eiggam, twix123 & cpfcrosie3 all picked up 2 points and a further 25 entrants opened their accounts for the new month with one point.

So on to the Leader Board where -

Aquagility & deecee131 equal on 4 points

evsajo & Magyar equal on 3 points

and the afore mentioned 8 entrants all on 2 points.

Really, not too bad a start, but we'll be looking for better next weekend, before most of us succumb to too much shopping, eating, drinking and celebration and all our grey cells go into hibernation [ or involuntary shutdown ] until the New Year................and if anyone should happen to spot a wayward sarumite please point him in the right direction homewards.

Hi Steff .. gosh it's nice to be missed, if you know what I mean! Things have just been a bit hectic recently, no problems to speak of, but "lots to do"!

Taking it seriously? no worries there. My first thought for 'paddle' was 'up the creek without a' , but thought you might not appreciate that....

It was a great surprise to see that I am equal first (as opposed to equal last on MM). Changing to 'snowdrop' from my first topical thought 'snowdrift' clinched it for me.
It will be a hard act to follow next week, but I have made it , for one week at least.
