Lamb or Sheep???

 At what age does a lamb become a sheep, and do we eat a leg of lamb or a leg of sheep because if its a lamb then the legs look big to me???????

don't know definite age - but I think it's when they are able to start breeding.  So a lamb will be lamb on the table until it's between a year and 18 months (about!).  Then it turns into old mutton!
According to my ex-butcher husband they are about a year old when eaten and they grow quickly so have big legs.
