I deleted Britannica from my computer, because it takes up too much space.
However, when I do a complete computer security check it still runs thro all of Britannica which takes ages.
How can I get rid of it altogther?

Sounds like you deleted the product rather than using Uninstall?
In which case you may need a specialist application to delete the 'leftovers'
..or re-install and then uninstall.
Or maybe you just deleted the shortcut? In which case you should still be able to unistall it in Add or Remove Programs.
goto Control Panel -> add or remove programs -> it populates the list of installed programs. On top left of your pc,click remove button on the right of each shown program.
