a nuclear powered watch? what is an atomic watch?
Doubtful. I would assume US watches will synchronise with somewhere in the USA which may be tricky if you bring it an extra 6000 miles back home with you.
it's a watch that sets its self using the radio signal from an atomic clock.

Yes a USA one should work in all of in the UK from the signal sent out from the atomic clock in Rugby
now due to a contradiction in answers from squarebear and myself I've had a deeper look into it

you need to make sure it has Multi-Band Atomic Timekeeping then it will sync in any country that has a atomic clock sync signal.

It is looking like the majority of the newer ones are Multi-band, but double check before buying.

As long as it uses international standard atoms. American atoms have a nasty habit of being 20% lighter hence altering the percieved time. However it's a simple matter to get a bucketful of Euro Atoms from H Samuel.
The NPL radio time signal hasn't been broadcast from Rugby for a long time now - It's broadcast from Anthorn in Cumbria.

Thanks LCDman, I wasn't aware it had moved, the location of it is not really something that I follow closely :)
Why don't you just buy one off ebay?
